I don’t think I told you but the linkup for #3ThingsThursday officially ended a little while ago. So, technically, this isn’t part of any linkup, but I really enjoyed being able to share 3 things with you once in awhile; expect more posts like this from me in the future!
Today I want to share 3 places this month to be if you’re local to the Lower Mainland of B.C. There’s always something incredible going on, every night of the week, no matter what your interests. This week I’m bringing you a little taste. If you have events you’d like me to share in a quick blurb here, or in a full-feature blog post and on social media, please contact me.
Without further ado, here’s where you should be:
- Wendy Armbruster Bell – the founder of Snugabell – is holding a fundraiser to celebrate her birthday. She’s raising money for the Provincial Milk Bank because as an advocate for breastfeeding, this cause is near and dear to her heart. (She’s the brains behind PumpEase, a hands-free pumping bra!). This will be a fun evening of food, drinks, dancing, wine auction, live auction and more, and tickets are only $25! Grab more details for this June 18 event here.
- The Cutting Room is a one-stop shop for the fashion design inclined, offering youth and adult lessons in everything from sewing to the business end of the fashion industry. I’ll be sharing more about them tomorrow (stay tuned!), but in the meantime check out the details of a trunk show they’re hosting June 23-25, bringing together Canadian designers under one roof.
- Pandora’s Collective and the Britannia branch of the Vancouver Public Library present Poetic Pairings on Tues June 14 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Britannia library (1661 Napier St. Vancouver). It’s a free poetry reading where poets have been paired up to create and perform pieces together.
And that’s a wrap! Hope you’re having a great Thursday. I’m looking forward to unwinding tonight at a Twitter party with Vancouver’s Top Mom Bloggers, and you are more than welcome to join us! Between 8 and 9 pm PST we’ll be chatting about blogging, motherhood and whatever else pops up via the hashtag #vmptop30. You can RSVP here or just show up (in your pj’s because that’s one of the perks)! And then we’re hanging out IRL at the celebration that I told you about here – hope you can join us there, too!
Thanks for reading!
