Not only is it Thursday – which is officially known as the weekend warm-up – it’s a GORGEOUS day! I’m sitting outside in my T shirt, soaking up the vitamin D and feeling so thankful. True to my commitment of using daycare days for myself, I had a massage appointment, an eye appointment and went out to grab my brand new art journal (which I will share about below). Came home, had some lunch and now I’m on my deck writing to you. I have a short time until I have to be at the school, but I want to share 3 things with you as part of #3ThingsThursday. If you’re a blogger and you’re interested in joining up, check out Pink Chai Living, Love Laugh Mirch and The Write Balance for the linky!

One: This DAY!

As if Nature wasn’t amazing enough, she truly shows off in the fall. I took a beautiful stroll this morning after dropping off all 3 kids and just completely allowed myself to enjoy the beauty that I have only marvelled at from the inside of a car. I created a video for you with a creativity break exercise and posted it on my Facebook page so I do hope you check it out. In the meantime, feast your eyes on this:

Two: My new art journal

After my two health appointments, I had some time before lunch as I was hoping I would! So I messaged my friend Violette, artist extraordinare, for suggestions on which stores to hit up for art journals. She suggested Opus Art Supplies and off I went to the Langley location. The staff were super helpful and I ended up with two of these (yes, I bought two – I’m ambitious plus I love a good deal) which are perfect for mixed media. I mean, I don’t want to be restricted by what the paper can handle. If I feel like watercolour and acrylic or both, I want something that can take that! Guess how much I bought these for, each? $6.44! They’re on sale right now so go get one if you need a new one!

Three: Setting intentions every morning

I’m lucky enough to be part of a small group of women who, every morning, want to hear what my intention for the day is. This forces me to think about the 2 or 3 ways I want to express myself throughout the day. It’s seriously my favourite part of the morning – tuning into these women and their intentions and sharing mine. It makes such a big difference; throughout the day I remember the positive words I say about myself and I find that I’m fulfilling those ideas. It sets into motion a lot, probably more than I am even aware of right now.

What’s your intention today? Tomorrow? Leave a comment – I’d love to hear from you!
